The World Fire Fighter Games will be held in Liverpool at the Echo Arena and St George's Hall. The Corps of Drums and Pipe Band will lead the opening parade and the IG Recruiting Team will be present throughout the games
Remembrance Sunday
Sunday 9th November 2008
Remembrance Sunday, the Branch Chairman will lay a Wreathe at the Cenotaph, St George's Plateau, Liverpool and representatives from the Battalion will lay one on behalf of the Regiment.
St Patrick's Day Celebrations
Saturday 14th March 2009
The Branch will hold their St Patrick's Day celebrations, commencing with a service at Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral.
14th June 2009
The Queen's Birthday Parade (Trooping the Colour) will see the Irish Guards Troop their Colour.

Fallen Comrades Service
The annual Fallen Comrades service will take place on Saturday 15th November 2008 at St Francis De Sales RC Church, Hale Road, Walton, Liverpool. The service commences at 19:00 hours and will be conducted by Father John Thompson and Canon Anthony Hawley. The Irish Guards Singers will be in attendance. The Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, Dame Lorna Muirhead Peter Kilfoyle MP and Eddie O'Hara MP have already confirmed their attendance.
The branch produce a quarterly newsletter "The Northern Mick", sponsorship is actively sought.
