H M The Queen will be presenting the Regiment with new Colours on Wednesday 6th May 2009 at Windsor Castle. Full details are not yet published however it will be in the morning. Any branch members who require an application form to apply for the tickets must send a STAMPED ADDRESSED ENVELOPE to the Secretary and they will be sent out when available.
Queens Birthday Parade
The Irish Guards will be Trooping their Colour on the Queen's Birthday Parade, branch members can send a STAMPED ADDRESSED ENVELOPE to the Secretary and when available the application forms will be sent out. It should be noted that the Regiment allocation is minimal so consider a rehearsal date.
Branch Annual Dinner
The annual dinner will take place on Saturday 16th May 2009 at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel. The dinner will be held in the new Sefton Suite which has restricted access, no ticket no admittance. The cost of the dinner will be held at £25.00 per person. Major Robbie Kelly MBE will be responsible for tickets and the seating plan.

ST PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATIONS
This year the Branch will hold their St Patrick's Day celebration on Sunday 15th March 2009 at St Francis De Sales RC Church, Hale Road, Walton. There will be a St Patrick's Day Mass at 10:30 followed by presentation of shamrock by the Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, Dame Lorna Muirhead. This will be followed by a buffet at St Francis De Sales Parochial Club, Salop Street. The tickets for the buffet will cost £2.00 per person and are available from the Treasurer, John Roche, 11 Southgate Close, Croxteth Park, Liverpool, L12 0JN. The event is being organised with all proceeds being divided between the Irish Guards Welfare Fund and Willowbrook Hospice.
The branch produce a quarterly newsletter "The Northern Mick", sponsorship is actively sought.
